For long, we referred to Merch-hunter project as Hag-shop, but it has been a love child from the beginning. We adored it because it snuck the joy of fantasy back into our overly serious, and very grown-up office life through the world of ethereal elves, barbarian tribes and steampunk inventors. It reminded us that we have at least two drow matron mothers, a half-elf courtesan and a drunk gnome in our records. And why we know exactly what NPC, D20 and name generators are. No matter where we are in our lives, the love of fantasy never wears out.
Bogi is responsible for marketing and organization, Gabi is the voice of logistics and reason, Bori is the craftsman of content. And our artisan partners bless us with ever so beautiful works. We hope that you find the item among them that sneaks a bit of fantasy in your life as well!

I’ve made sculptures, I studied to be a ceramist, I have been a restorer. Creating is a kind of meditation, a reward from life. I love jewels with a bit of Indian, Mongolian or Native American trait, but I also lure Hungarian motifs into my works.

Wow, how patient you are, they say, and I smile to myself because I know I am not. It’s persistence I have. Different mythologies, quasi-medieval, steampunk – I like to wander in space and time, hunting the beautiful, the meaningful and that which lifts me upwards.

Why Merch-hunter?

The thought of Merch hunter has just started to take shape when we realized how much easier it is to come across a mug with a sticker of your favorite fantasy world than a quality accessory. The latter are practically designed only for films and series, and the more popular items might get mass-produced and put on the market or they might not. But will they include the symbol the protagonist only passingly mentions in a flashback? Or the world that hasn’t even been put on screen? And if so, how plastic will it be? How many more are produced?

Our goal is to hunt artisan jewelry true to the worlds of fantasy for you. This is how the site became merchandise-hunter, or Merch hunter. We seek the popular and not-so-popular motifs, the artisans who pour their blood, sweat and tears into their work, and the jewelry that sneaks some fantasy into your life.
